The forest air was cold and filled with fog. Quietly the demos lurched and hide behind the big black trees.
“Show yourselves” I yelled. I could hear my voice echoing through the dark and mysterious forest. A deep and scary voice growled. All of a sudden, the demons fled in fear only leaving me and Takar. “Well, well, well” he said with a smirk. “ look at what we have here, the mighty Rosanna descendent and child of the legendary magicians”. I gathered all the confidence inside me and said “I am Rosanna Lutyens, descendent and child of my legendary parents. I am here to avenge them”. He looked at me strangely then laughed. “Try me if you dare” Takar said smug. This is it. This is what i’ve been training for, I thought to myself. Don’t lose hope now. Takar raises one arm and a huge ball of fire appears in his palm. He looks at me and prepares to throw. In an instant the ball of fire is coming towards me. I force a shield and it repeals the ball of fire. Just a second longer and I could’ve died, I think to myself. “Is that all you got” I grin. “I’m only getting started” He said. In a fast motion Takar pushes his hands forward. A big force hits me and I fall to the ground. Everything goes black. Two faces appear and I realize that they’re my parents. “Don’t give up now” Said my mum gently. “The battle isn’t over yet” my father stated. As their faces disappear, I remember what I came here to do. Destroy Takar. I use all the rage in my belly to generate my powers. Suddenly I rise, surrounded by fire and start hitting Takar with balls of fire. My fury is taking control. Takar falls to the ground and begs for mercy. With anger I say “where was the mercy you showed my parents” At that moment I shape a ball of fire and aim it straight for takar. The impact creates a big explosion, which sends me flying through the air. My heads hits the ground hard. I see a bright light. Its blinding. As I squint my eyes I realize i’m in a hospital. A doctor approaches me and I ask confused “what happen, why am I here”. “Someone found you in the bush, you were reported missing for days” the doctors explanis. “Why can’t I remember anything that happen?” I ask in worry. “We think you fell from a high surface, as we found some major damages to your brain” He paused. “But don’t worry you’re going to be alright. You just need to rest”. As he walks away I can’t stop wondering, what happened in the past week. It feels like a part of me is missing. |
